DUNGQUAT ECONOMIC ZONE AUTHORITY

Dungquat Economic Zone Authority (DEZA) is a state administrative body under the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee. DEZA’s function is to assist the People’s Committee in comprehensively managing, administrating the investment and development activities in Dungquat Economic Zone.

DEZA has a juridical status, possesses an official seal engraved with the national emblem, and has an operating budget annually allocated by the State.

DEZA is authorized to apply the following jurisdictions/powers:

To evaluate, issue, adjust and revoke Investment Certificate for investment projects in accordance with the Law on Investment.

To issue, re-issue, adjust and extend Representative Office License for foreign business organizations and individuals which base their offices in Dungquat EZ; to issue Business License for the trading activities and trade-related activities of foreign-invested enterprises and foreign investors which invest in Dungquat EZ after obtaining the approval from Ministry of Trade and Industry.

To issue Certificate of Origins for the commodities manufactured in Dungquat EZ and the equivalent certificates/licenses.

To certify the contracts, documents relating to real estate in Dungquat EZ for the related parties.

To issue, adjust and revoke Business Registration Certificate in accordance with Law on Enterprises with regard to the establishing of business organizations in Dungquat EZ.

To evaluate and approve Environmental Impact Assessment Reports or to certify Environment Protection Commitments of the projects licensed/approved by Quang Ngai People’s Committee and/or by DEZA.

To allocate or lease land to the organizations and individuals which have the demand to use land in Dungquat EZ.

To determine the land and water surface rental rate for each investment project, based on the relevant regulations.

To organize or coordinate the maintenance of physical infrastructure and social amenities in Dungquat which are funded by the state budget.
